Division 04

Strategic Research Services

Scoped research for businesses and professional clients.

Division 05

Memberships, sponsorships and licensing, kept apart from editorial.

Division 06

Fact-checking, corrections, sourcing, privacy and independence.

Editorial doctrine

The rules DSI is held to

  1. Rule 1

    Evidence before narrative

Investigations begin with a question, not a predetermined conclusion.

  2. Rule 2

    No manufactured mysteries

An ordinary business relationship is not automatically suspicious. A transaction is not proof of misconduct.

  3. Rule 3

    Follow the documented facts

Public records, reliable reporting, company disclosures and other lawful sources, cited.

  4. Rule 4

    Distinguish fact from inference

Readers can always see what is known, what is assessed and what is uncertain.

  5. Rule 5

    Correct mistakes visibly

Material errors are corrected and the correction is noted on the page.

  6. Rule 6

    Protect editorial independence

Sponsors, clients and members do not buy favorable conclusions.

  7. Rule 7

    No promises of financial outcomes

DSI explains developments and implications. It does not promise profits or give investment advice.

  8. Rule 8

    No implied official status

DSI is a private organization. It is not a government department and has no classified access or official authority.

Corrections

When we get something wrong

Material errors are corrected on the page with a dated correction note. To report an error, contact us with the page and the evidence.

Independence & disclosures

Sponsored placements are always labelled. Relevant conflicts of interest, including personal holdings, are disclosed on the item where they apply. Research engagements for clients are confidential and never change public conclusions.
